Appraisal

A townhouse erected as one of a terrace of four houses (included 15605093; 15605095 - 15605096) representing an integral component of the early nineteenth-century domestic built heritage of New Ross with the architectural value of the composition suggested by such attributes as the compact rectilinear plan form centred on a Classically-detailed doorcase not only demonstrating good quality workmanship, but also showing a simple radial fanlight; and the diminishing in scale of the openings on each floor producing a graduated visual impression. Having been well maintained, the elementary form and massing survive intact together with substantial quantities of the original or sympathetically replicated fabric, both to the exterior and to the interior, thus upholding the character or integrity of a townhouse forming part of a self-contained ensemble making a pleasing visual statement in Henry Street.
