Gateway, extant 1940, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of quatrefoil-detailed granite ashlar chamfered piers on chamfered plinths having flat iron Cross finial-topped roll moulded gabled capping supporting wrought iron double gates with quatrefoil-detailed granite ashlar chamfered outer piers on chamfered plinths having flat iron Cross finial-topped roll moulded gabled capping supporting wrought iron gates. Street fronted at entrance to grounds of Saint Aidan's Catholic Cathedral.
