Description

End-of-terrace two-bay two-storey house, built c.1830. The building is finished in render. The replacement front door is set within a flat-headed opening. Directly over the door is a now defunct uPVC ‘pram hood’ style canopy. Window openings are also flat-headed with a two over two timber sash frame to first floor and a similar but one over one frame to the ground floor. The hipped roof is finished with artificial slate and has cast-iron rainwater goods. The chimneystack is rendered with a slightly corbelled cap and clay pots. The building is road fronted.

Appraisal

This modest early 19th-century house has retained its original detailing. Its simplicity adds much to the variety of the streetscape.
