Terraced two-bay two-storey house, c.1890, retaining original fenestration. Renovated, c.1940. One of a terrace of eighteen. Pitched (shared) slate roof with clay ridge tiles, red brick Running bond (shared) chimney stacks, and cast-iron rainwater goods. Painted replacement roughcast walls, c.1940, with rendered strips to ends, and rendered course to first floor. Square-headed window openings with stone sills, and rendered surrounds, c.1940. 2/2 timber sash windows. Square-headed door opening with replacement glazed timber panelled door, c.1990, and overlight. Road fronted with concrete footpath to front.
A well-proportioned, modest-scale house, built as one of a terrace of eighteen identical houses (including 22830156 – 157, 159, 300/WD-09-30-156 – 157, 159, 300), which retains its original form, and most of its original character, and which contributes to the streetscape quality of Ballytruckle Road.
