Terraced three-bay single-storey house, c.1800. Refenestrated, c.1850. Renovated, c.1950. Reroofed, pre-1999. Pitched (shared) roof with replacement artificial slate, pre-1999, clay ridge tiles, roughcast (shared) chimney stacks, and iron rainwater goods on timber eaves. Unpainted replacement roughcast walls, c.1950, with rendered strips to ends, and rendered band to eaves. Square-headed window openings with stone sills, and replacement 1/1 timber sash windows, c.1850. Square-headed door opening with replacement timber panelled door, c.1975. Road fronted with concrete footpath to front.
An appealing small-scale house of modest appearance that retains its original form and massing, together with some important salient features and materials, which enhance the historic quality of the composition. The house makes a discreet contribution to the streetscape quality of New Street, and, together with the remainder of the houses in the terrace, conforms to the topography of the sloping site through the use of a stepped roofline.
