Description

Terraced two-bay two-storey house, c.1810, retaining early fenestration. One of a pair. Pitched slate roof with clay ridge tiles, rendered (shared) chimney stack, rendered coping to party wall, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves. Painted rendered walls. Square-headed window openings with stone sills, and 2/2 sash windows. Square-headed door opening with chamfered reveals, and glazed timber panelled door. Road fronted with concrete footpath to front.

Appraisal

An attractive small-scale house, built as one of a pair, retaining most of its original form and massing, together with important salient features and materials, which enhance the historic character of the site. The house, together with the second in the pair (22807027/WD-18-07-27), forms an attractive feature in the streetscape.
