Appraisal

A well-proportioned, modest-scale house, built as one of a pair (with 22805047/WD-15-08-47) forming part of a larger group of sixteen houses (with 22805008 – 18, 48/WD-15-08-08 – 18, 48). Well maintained, the house presents an early aspect with important salient features and materials intact. The house, together with the remainder of the group, is of particular importance as a reminder of the emphasis placed on social houses following the establishment of the Independent State. The house forms an attractive feature on uniform appearance in the streetscape leading into the centre of Kilmacthomas.
