Description

End-of-terrace two-bay two-storey house, c.1890, possibly originally terraced retaining original aspect. One of a pair. Pitched (shared) slate roof with clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stack, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves. Painted rendered, ruled and lined wall. Square-headed window openings with stone sills, and 2/2 timber sash windows. Square-headed door opening with timber panelled door and overlight. Road fronted.

Appraisal

A well-proportioned, modest-scale house, built as one of a pair, and well maintained, retaining its original form and character. The house, together with the second in the pair (22504324/WD-5632-22-325), forms an attractive feature in the streetscape of Mall Lane.
