Terraced three-bay two-storey house, c.1850, on a corner site retaining early fenestration. Pitched slate roof with clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks and replacement uPVC rainwater goods, c.2000, on rendered eaves. Painted rendered, ruled and lined walls. Square-headed window openings with rendered sills (moulded to ground floor), and moulded rendered surrounds to ground floor. 1/1 timber sash windows. Square-headed door opening with moulded rendered surround and replacement timber panelled door, c.2000, with overlight. Road fronted on a corner site with raised stone flagged footpath to front having section of wrought iron railings and flights of stone steps.
This house is an attractive, modest-scale range of balanced proportions and symmetrical design that has been very well maintained to retain its original form, together with important early salient features and materials. The house forms an important corner site linking Grattan Terrace on Francis Street with Ballybricken Green, and contributes to the historic character of the streetscape of the locality.
