Single-arch rusticated limestone road bridge over disused railway, built 1868, with rusticated coping stones, string courses, and rusticated voussoirs to segmental arch and slightly-splayed shallow buttresses to ends of bridge.
A well-constructed bridge forming an integral part of the railway heritage of North Tipperary having being built as part of the Parsonstown (Birr) to Portumna Bridge railway line which was closed in 1878. Although the railway this bridge was built to serve has been closed for many years, the bridge continues in use as a road bridge and despite land infill has retained its original form.
