Description

End-of-terrace two-bay three-storey rendered house, built c. 1870. Built as one of a group of three. Pitched artificial slate roof, unpainted rendered corbelled chimneystack, galvanised steel rainwater goods. Unpainted rendered walling, and base plinth. Square-headed window openings, painted stone sills, painted timber one-over-one sash windows, wrought-iron window guard to ground floor. Square-headed door opening, tooled limestone plinth blocks, original painted timber six-panel door, plain-glazed overlight. Street fronted with ridge line stepping down to east.

Appraisal

This is a good example of a modest terraced house with a restrained façade enhanced by survival of the original panelled entrance door and enlivened by moulded render details and wrought-iron sill guard. It forms an integral part of the streetscape.
