Triple-arch limestone bridge, built c.1780, carrying road over stream. Round arches with dressed stone voussoirs and rubble stone soffits. Dressed stone V-cutwaters having render capping to both elevations. Rubble stone walls and parapet walls, rubble coping stones to parapets.
The narrow arches and tall V-cutwaters on this bridge are indicative of its early date. Simple but well-composed, it is a good example of modest engineering feats which contributed to the overall growth of the road system in Ireland throughout the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. The large rubble stones to the parapet walls add interest to the road.
