Detached three-bay single-storey former station master's house, built c.1847, with gabled breakfront entrance bay. Pitched slate roof with brick chimneystacks. Rendered walls. Pair of glazed timber doors with plain fanlight. Lean-to extension to rear.
Gormanstown Railway Station, consisting of the station, waiting building, former station master's house, and warehouse forms a significant architectural group in Gormanstown. Although this building is had been altered and many original features have been replaced, the building retains its original form and continues to contribute to the architectural character of the station.
