Description

Terraced two-bay two-storey nurse's house[?], extant 1950[?]. Now disused. One of a terrace of four. Pitched slate roof with clay ridge tiles terminating in rendered chimney stack having corbelled stepped stringcourse below capping supporting terracotta pots, and cast-iron rainwater goods on slightly overhanging eaves retaining cast-iron downpipe. Rendered walls on rendered base. Square-headed window openings including one square-headed window opening in tripartite arrangement (first floor) with concrete sills, and concealed dressings framing six-over-six timber sash windows. Set back from line of street on a slightly elevated site with rendered piers to perimeter having segmental capping supporting wrought iron gate.

Appraisal

A house erected as one a terrace of four units (including 31212126; 31212128 - 31212129) representing an integral component of the twentieth-century built heritage of Westport.
