Terraced single-bay three-storey house, extant 1838. Renovated with replacement shopfront inserted to ground floor. Replacement pitched artificial slate roof with ridge tiles terminating in rendered chimney stack having concrete capping supporting terracotta pots, and cast-iron rainwater goods on timber eaves boards on rendered cut-limestone eaves retaining cast-iron downpipe. Rendered, ruled and lined walls with bull nose-detailed rendered panelled quoins to ends. Square-headed window openings in tripartite arrangement (upper floors) with drag edged dragged cut-limestone sills, and concealed dressings framing replacement two-over-two timber sash windows having two-over-two (first floor) or one-over-one (top floor) sidelights. Street fronted with concrete brick cobbled footpath to front.
A house erected as one of a pair representing an integral component of the built heritage of Westport with the architectural value of the composition confirmed by such attributes as the compact near-square plan form; the slight diminishing in scale of the openings on each floor producing a feint graduated visual impression with those openings showing Wyatt-style tripartite glazing patterns; and the high pitched roofline.
