Triple-arch bridge, built c. 1800, carrying road between Drogheda and Termonfeckin over river. Random coursed limestone walling, partially rendered, round-headed arches, ashlar voussoirs, V-shaped cutwaters, parapet wall rises to a pitch.
This simple bridge is a testament to engineering skills and practices at the time of its construction. The execution of the stonework, most notably the fine ashlar voussoirs, displays a technical adeptness on the part of the craftsmen. The bridge makes a handsome addition to the landscape.
