Single-arch rubble stone hump back road bridge over river, built 1788. Random rubble stone walls with cast-iron tie plates, and rendered rounded coping to parapets over rubble stone construction. Single segmental arch with squared rubble stone voussoirs, and rubble stone soffits having remains of render over. Sited spanning Nuenna River with rubble banks to river.
A simple bridge forming an appealing element of the late eighteenth-century civil engineering heritage of Freshford. The construction in rubble stone serves to assimilate the bridge pleasantly into the surrounding landscape while the elegant profile of the arch contributes to the architectural distinction of the composition.
