Double-arch road bridge spanning River Owvane, built c.1820. Randomly coursed cut limestone construction with ashlar voussoirs and cutwater. Upright rubble stone and concrete coping.
An attractive bridge that blends into the landscape seamlessly due to the use of local stone. The ashlar voussoirs and the overall intact condition of the arches demonstrate excellent craftsmanship. It is an essential modern transport link, as well as a reminder of the high quality of traditional nineteenth century bridges in rural Ireland.
