Pitched artificial slate roof with rooflights, rendered chimneystacks, eaves course and cast-iron rainwater goods. Painted rendered walls. Square-headed window openings with one-over-one pane timber sliding sash windows, painted moulded shouldered render surrounds and painted sills. Elliptical carriage arch opening having channelled limestone jambs and voussoirs and imposts, with double-leaf timber battened doors. Recent shopfront to ground floor.

Appraisal

The character of this attractive nineteenth-century town building is enhanced by the fine limestone carriage arch and the retention of timber sash windows. Decoration is provided by the moulded window surrounds and the channelled stonework of the carriage arch.
