Description
Terraced single-bay four-storey former house, built c. 1845, formerly forming a two-bay house with the adjoining building to the west. Now in use as retail outlet. Pitched slate roof with red brick chimneystack. Rendered walls with timber sash windows to upper floors. Timber shopfront with fixed widows and glazed door, c. 1980.
Appraisal
The scale and form of this building make a notable and positive addition to the streetscape. Though many interesting features and materials have been replaced, and formerly part of a two-bay house, this building forms part of a well proportioned group, with the adjoining buildings to the east.
