Terraced gable-fronted two-bay two-storey house, built c. 1750, as part of a terrace of five houses. Pitched slate roofs with rendered chimneystack. Roughcast rendered walls with render surrounds to openings. Timber sash windows and replacement timber door approached by flight of replacement steps.
Built as a group with the adjoining terrace of four houses to the north and south, these houses are notable additions to the streetscape. Several gable-fronted houses are found in the Shandon area, and they contribute to the unique character of this part of the city. The unusual form of these houses is a significant contributor to the architectural heritage of Cork. This house retains many interesting features and materials, such as the timber sash windows and slate roof.
