Description
Semi-detached three-bay three-storey over basement house, built 1874, with shared limestone Tuscan portico, camber-headed windows with moulded architraves and swag-like ornament; decorative railings to area and garden. Slate pitched roof with filigree detail to decorative ridge tiles having flat roofed dormer. Painted render finish with string courses to exterior.
Appraisal
One of a pair of houses built to a scale and with a level of external stucco ornamentation rarely found in the city. Other decorative elements such as the elaborate cast iron railings and gates have been retained, as have timber sash windows.
