Description
End-of-terrace two-bay two-storey house, built c. 1850, as a group of three with the adjoining pair of houses to the west. Pitched slate roof having rendered chimneystack. Rendered walls to ground floor with exposed roughly dressed sandstone to first floor. Timber sliding sash windows. Replacement uPVC door.
Appraisal
This terrace of three houses occupies an interesting location in the urban landscape, set in a narrow and confined lane. The scale and form of the group make a notable and positive contribution to the streetscape, and the buildings are enhanced by the retention of significant features and materials, such as the timber sliding sash windows, timber panelled door and slate roofs.
