Applications are now open for the Historic Structures Fund 2026 which will support the maintenance and repair of historic structures in all local authority administrative areas via grants from \u20ac50,000 up to \u20ac200,000.\u00a0 The Historic Structures Fund 2026 will enable vital investment in our rich built heritage and help custodians and owners of historic structures safeguard them for the future benefit of communities and the general public.<\/p>\n

The Historic Structures Fund 2026 is administered by the local authorities with grants awarded on a nationally competitive basis.\u00a0 The property in question must be included or eligible for inclusion on the Record of Protected Structures maintained by the relevant local authority in order to qualify for the scheme. \u00a0Priority will be given to works to conserve and consolidate the external envelope of the historic structure such as roof, brick work, stone work or window repairs. \u00a0The project should have strong built heritage conservation objectives and demonstrate a clear benefit to the community or the general public.<\/p>\n

28 projects were allocated over \u20ac3.5 million in funding under the Historic Structures Fund 2025<\/a> and custodians and owners of historic structures are now being invited to make an application for funding under the Historic Structures Fund 2026.\u00a0 Details of the scheme, and how to make an application through the local authority, are available below.\u00a0 Applicants should check with their local authority for the deadline for applications in their area.<\/strong><\/p>\n
