Five-arch stone bridge carrying road over River Fane, built c.1800. Round arches having dressed stone voussoirs. Rubble stone walls and soffits. Cut-stone V-profile cutwaters to both elevations. Rubble stone parapet walls with concrete copings. Concrete wing walls to east bank of north elevation and west bank of south elevation.
This is an elegant bridge that is still in use providing important infrastructure to the locality. Its five arches have attractive detailing at the junction of the cutwaters with the arches. The cut-stone cutwaters provide a textural contrast to the rubble stone walls, and display evidence of skilled craftsmanship.
