Description

Semi-detached two-bay two-storey rendered house, built c.1900, with a full-height canted bay window. Pitched slate roof with terracotta ridge tiles, eaves dentils and a rendered chimneystack. Round-arched door opening with a hood moulding. Two-bay two-storey return to rear.

Appraisal

This house is one of a pair built facing the sea. These sea-facing houses became popular during the Victorian era and there are a number of these terraces along the seafront in Bettystown and Laytown. This house has some interesting features and materials, which contribute to the character of the house.
