Description

Detached seven multiple-bay two-storey rendered former house now in use as a private school, built in c. 1910 in somewhat eclectic Arts and Crafts / Domestic Revival style. The four panelled door with plain side panels and fanlight sits below a projecting timber balcony which is supported on turned timber posts and decorative handrail. To either side is a two-storey canted bay with gable whose overhangs are supported on decorative brackets. All windows are flat-headed and six over one. Rosemary clad pitched roof with decorative tile hanging to the gable peaks of the bays; cast-iron rainwater goods. Set on a slight rise behind a recent chain link fence.

Appraisal

Stylish and well preserved Edwardian house in almost original condition; now increasingly rare.
