Description

Terraced three-bay two-storey house, c.1830. Refenestrated, c.1880. Pitched (shared) slate roof with clay ridge tiles, rendered (shared) chimney stacks, and profiled cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves. Unpainted roughcast lime rendered walls. Square-headed window openings with stone sills, and 2/2 timber sash windows. Round-headed door opening with moulded rendered surround, timber panelled door, and spoked fanlight. Road fronted with concrete brick cobbled footpath to front.

Appraisal

A picturesque small-scale house incorporating an informal arrangement to the openings. Very well maintained, the house retains its original form and early fabric, and contributes to the visual appeal of the street scene of Main Street.
