Description

Terraced two-bay two-storey house, c.1870, retaining most original fenestration. Renovated, c.1970, with window opening remodelled to ground floor. Pitched (shared) slate roof with clay ridge tiles, red brick Running bond (shared) chimney stack, and replacement uPVC rainwater goods, c.1995, on rendered eaves. Painted rendered walls. Square-headed window openings (remodelled, c.1970, to ground floor) with rendered sills. 1/1 timber sash windows with replacement timber casement windows, c.1970, to remodelled opening. Square-headed door opening with timber panelled door, and overlight. Road fronted with concrete footpath to front.

Appraisal

An appealing small-scale house retaining much of its original form and massing, together with substantial quantities of the early fabric, and which contributes to the streetscape value of Chapel Street.
