Freestanding cast-iron "lion mask" water hydrant, extant 1905. Now disused. Set on concrete plinth.

Appraisal

A "lion mask" water hydrant attributable to Glenfield and Kennedy (established 1852) of Kilmarnock representing an interesting example of mass-produced cast-iron work making a pleasing, if largely inconspicuous visual statement in Parade Square.
