Description

Section of random rubble stone boundary wall, c.1865, with rubble stone vertical coping, and pair of rubble stone piers having wrought iron double gates with finials. Sited at perimeter of grounds originally surrounding Clodiagh (House), and now bounding housing development with some sections removed.

Appraisal

A boundary wall of traditional construction originally enclosing the grounds belonging to the Clodiagh (House) estate. The survival of the original wrought iron gates enhances the artistic design quality of the composition, while the structure as a whole forms an attractive feature in the streetscape.
