Terraced two-bay three-storey house, built 1861, retaining original fenestration. Reroofed, c.1985. Now disused. Hipped (shared) roof with replacement artificial slate, c.1985, clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves. Unpainted rendered walls with section of painted slate hanging to side (south-east) elevation. Square-headed window openings (in bipartite arrangement to ground floor) with stone sills, and 1/1 timber sash windows. Square-headed door opening with timber panelled door and overlight. Road fronted with concrete footpath to front.
This house is a well-proportioned substantial composition that retains its original form and most of its original fabric, including fittings to the openings. The house is an important component of the streetscape, identified by its massing, and contributes to the historic character of Shortcourse.
