Terraced two-bay two-storey house, built 1909, retaining original fenestration. One of a terrace of eight. Pitched (shared) slate roof with clay ridge tiles, red brick Running bond (shared) chimney stack, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves. Painted rendered walls. Square-headed window openings with moulded rendered sills, and red brick block-and-start surrounds. 2/2 timber sash windows. Square-headed door opening with red brick block-and-start surround, and replacement glazed timber panelled door, c.1985, having overlight. Road fronted with concrete footpath to front.
This house, built as one of a terrace of eight identical units, has been very well maintained to retain its original form and character, together with important original salient features and materials. The red brick dressings produce a subtle polychromatic visual effect in the composition. The house, together with the remainder of the terrace (22502011/WD-5632-21-1030), forms an attractive feature of uniform quality in the streetscape of Mayor’s Walk.
