Terraced two-bay two-storey house, c.1885. Extensively renovated, c.1985, with shopfront inserted to ground floor to accommodate use as offices. One of a terrace of five. Pitched (shared) slate roof with clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stacks, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves. Painted rendered walls with rendered channelled piers. Square-headed window openings with stone sills, and moulded rendered surrounds. Replacement timber casement windows, c.1985. Timber shopfront, c.1985, to ground floor with pilasters, fixed-pane timber display window, glazed timber door, and timber fascia over having consoles and cornice. Road fronted with concrete footpath to front.
This house, built as one of a terrace of five identical units, is an attractive, modest-scale building that retains most of its original from. However, extensive renovation works in the late twentieth century have led to the loss of most of the original fabric, while the shopfront to ground floor is of little inherent artistic design quality. Nevertheless, the house, together with the remainder in the terrace (22501752 – 3, 5 - 6/WD-5632-21-770 – 1, 3 – 4), contributes to the visual appeal of the streetscape of Morgan Street.
