Description
Five-arch road bridge over Nenagh River, built c. 1720. Rubble stone walls with snecked limestone cutwaters to south elevation and rubble voussoirs to round and segmental arches. Semi-circular refuges to south parapet walls.

Appraisal

This bridge is a fine example of the technical achievements of local craftsmen. It is constructed with rubble limestone masonry contrasting with the finer masonry of the cutwaters. The bridge design caters for vehicular as well as pedestrian traffic as the refuges to the south testify.
