Description

Terraced four-bay two-storey rendered house, built c. 1870. One of a group of four. Converted to flats, c. 1995. Pitched artificial slate roof, plain artificial ridge tiles, shared red brick chimneystack surmounted by yellow clay hexagonal pots to east, moulded eaves, replacement moulded gutter c. 1995, cast-iron downpipe. Painted rendered ruled-and-lined walls on painted stone plinth. Square-headed window openings to upper floor, segmental-arched to ground floor, painted moulded render window architraves and sills, replacement one-over-one top-hung uPVC casement windows, c. 1995. Two segmental-headed door openings with moulded and painted rendered architraves, painted timber door with four raised lozenge panels and plain overlights. West door accessed by two stone steps, east door at ground level gives access to alley leading to rear. Street fronted.

Appraisal

This modest, well-maintained, property is an essential component of the terrace of which it is part. It retains good original features including the heavily moulded door and window surrounds.
