Single-arch masonry road bridge, built c.1820, over stream, within the grounds of Strokestown Park. Random coursed limestone walls with cut stone voussoirs to segmental arch-ring and tooled moulded stone coping. Wrought-iron railings and limestone bollards added to form parapet.
This handsome bridge is an elegant addition to the grounds of Strokestown Park, leading from the grand gates and lodge. The lack of parapets to the sides of the bridge allows for unobstructed views. This bridge along with other structures within the demesne such as the walled gardens, viewing tower, mausoleum, stable complex, kitchen yard, gates and lodge form part of the estate's historic fabric.
