Appraisal
Trimblestown Bridge, which dates to 1797, is an intact example of the late eighteenth-century canal bridge. This bridge makes an attractive addition to the architectural heritage of Offaly and a positive addition to the canalscape of the area. This section of the canal, erected by the Grand Canal Company, was opened the same year as the erection of the bridge, 1797. |
