Description
Terraced two-bay two-storey former house, built 1880, with recent shopfront to ground floor. Now in use as retail premises. Pitched slate roof having clay ridge tiles, red brick chimneystacks and combination of aluminium and cast-iron rainwater goods. Tooled limestone walls throughout. Square-headed window openings having painted brick block-and-start surrounds with keystones, painted stone sills and replacement uPVC windows. Square-headed door opening having painted brick block-and-start surround with keystone detail, replacement timber door with overlight.
Appraisal
This building was erected as part of a terrace of three similar houses along O'Neill Street. The well constructed limestone façade is representative of fine craftsmanship.
