Appraisal

This house was built by the Church of Ireland for the use by widows of clergymen, it was built as part of a complex of sixteen, almost identical, structures to the east of the church. The structure has been well maintained over the years and hardly altered, the retention of so much of its original materials and features contribute greatly to the overall character of the building, which undoubtedly plays a positive and important role in the architectural heritage of Drogheda and County Louth.
