River-washed stone cobbles to gutter running north to south on the west side of Church Lane, constructed c. 1740. Cobbles abut rendered church wall and random rubble stone wall to west.
Street furniture is becoming increasingly rare throughout Ireland and these cobbles to the gutter on the west of Church Lane are a remnant of street coverings from a bygone era. The use of cobblestones was once commonplace, though today they are no longer used. They form an important position in the streetscape and are a part of Ireland's heritage that is often overlooked.
