Appraisal

This terraced shop forms an integral part of a group of three identical buildings within a historic terrace. The group is characterised by camber-headed windows and shows influences from Arts and Crafts architecture with a varied use of materials from moulded bricks to the windows, red brick chimneys and a rendered shopfronts. Despite recent renovations, original decorative features including a corbelled cornice and simple moulded window surrounds greatly enhance the façade with this uncomplicated shopfront design becoming an increasingly rare feature within the Irish streetscape.
