Description

Appraisal

Making a positive, if subtle impression in the locality a waterpump represents an important artefact of early mass-produced cast-iron ware. While fine detailing identifies the design aesthetic of the composition the waterpump remains of particular importance as evidence of the mechanisms installed for the provision of water from a local source in the period before the establishment of mains systems.
