Description

End-of-terrace three-bay two-storey house, c.1900. Renovated, c.1950, with opening to left ground floor remodelled. Pitched slate roof with clay ridge tiles, rendered chimney stack, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves. Painted rendered, ruled and lined walls. Square-headed window openings (remodelled to left ground floor, c.1950) with cut-stone sills, and one-over-one timber sash windows having replacement timber casement window, c.1950, to remodelled opening. Square-headed door opening with glazed timber panelled door having overlight. Interior with timber panelled shutters to window openings. Road fronted with concrete footpath to front.

Appraisal

A pleasant house of modest architectural pretensions retaining most of the original form and massing together with most of the historic fabric both to the exterior and to the interior, thereby contributing positively to the character of the street scene.
