Description

Terraced three-bay three-storey over basement house, built c. 1800, with two-storey over basement split-level return. Now in use as museum since c. 1995 renovation. Pitched artificial slate roof with rendered chimneystack, projecting ashlar eaves course, metal gutter brackets and cast-iron rainwater goods. Cement rendered walls with lined-and-ruled voussoirs to windows and having pre-cast concrete moulded quoins. Replacement timber sliding sash windows with limestone sills. Timber panelled door with carved lintel and engaged Ionic columns surrounding, having new radial timber fanlight over with moulded ashlar archivolt. Timber half glazed panelled door with sidelights to basement. Decorative wrought-iron railings on rendered plinth wall with stone coping. Stone steps up to door having cast-iron boot scrape. Slated steps down to basement area. Rubble stone boundary wall to rear.
