Appraisal

A good example of a cast-iron water pump dating to the early twentieth century. It exhibits artistic detailing in its design, with an elegantly curved handle and fluted upper section. Located near Killeen church and St Corban’s, it was once a place where people gathered to draw water. Unlike many pumps, it is still in working order.
