Rubble limestone pier, built c.1830, constructed on bedrock with slightly battered faces and with recent concrete steps to north elevation. Pier surface consists of beach cobbles and concrete with three limestone mooring bollards. Further drystone walling to base of quay and at south-east side of harbour. Three-bay single-storey vernacular building located to west of quay.
This stone quay attests to the maritime history of Connemara. It is in a good state of repair and continues to be used by small boats.
