Multiple-arch limestone road bridge, built in two phases, over River Clare. Earlier phase, c.1725, comprises small round arches, three at west end of bridge and one at east, with small narrow voussoirs. Wide segmental river arch is c.1840, inserted when river was drained, and has larger blocks of squared rubble limestone. Large blocks of rusticated limestone form copings to parapet.
This bridge is interesting because of the two phases of construction, illustrating the history of the landscape and its drainage.
