Description
Freestanding cast-iron lighthouse, built 1853, on a circular plan with cast-iron railings to walkway and two-stage domed lantern on a circular plan having double-leaf service doors and ball finial. Set on cast-iron supports.
Appraisal
Located on a sandbank, this lighthouse retains its original form and character. It forms an interesting structure within Cobh harbour and enhances the visual appeal of the town.
