Freestanding circular-plan chimney, erected c.1890. Brown brick laid in Common bond to walls, with render coping and steel banding.
This chimney is an important reminder of the industrial heritage of the Cork Street area. The third edition Ordnance Survey map shows several chimneys in this area, this one appears to have been connected to the Eustace Brothers steam dye works, which was begun in the Liberties area but moved to this site on Cork Street in 1884. Due to its form and scale it makes a striking impression on the skyline of Cork Street and the surrounding area.
